Read together they say the same thing: families with young children who book a discounted ticket mostly leave happy, while adults and repeat visitors find it small and tired. If you have kids and a hot or rainy afternoon, it does the job for three to five hours. If you do not, spend the money in Binondo. Either way, buy online at least a day ahead: the official bundles are ₱1,000 on the park's website, against a posted regular rate of ₱3,000.

Across 2025–26 reviews the same points come up on every platform, in both directions.
Praised: the sea lion and bird shows, the Humboldt penguins in Trails to Antarctica, the 220° walk-through tunnel, friendly staff, the newer Philippine Biodome animals (otters, fur seals, the crocodile tunnel), and quick QR entry for people who booked ahead.
Complained about: maintenance — peeling paint, cloudy tanks, ageing areas — fewer species in the tunnel than on earlier visits, confusion between walk-in and online prices, the one-entry-per-attraction rule, and the ban on outside food and drink.
Our read: it sells because it is indoor, central and family-shaped, in a city with brutal heat and unreliable rain. It rates in the middle because the complex has aged and the core aquarium is small by the standards of Singapore or Hong Kong. If captive-animal attractions bother you on principle, nothing here will change your mind.
Better options for the same afternoon: the Natural History museum is free and has the Tree of Life atrium, and the Mind Museum in BGC (₱625 for a three-hour slot, ₱750 all day) is the stronger paid family attraction.

What is inside Manila Ocean Park
The core park: the Oceanarium (about 14,000 animals of 277 species, a 220° tunnel along a 55-metre route), Trails to Antarctica with its Humboldt penguins, the Stingray Dry Encounter, the World of Creepy Crawlies and its show-and-tell, the Sea Lion Show and the All-Star Bird Show.
Add-ons: the Philippine Biodome (opened at the turn of 2025), the DNA Museum (opened June 2025), the Aqua Adventure water park and paid animal encounters. Hotel H2O next door has rooms with aquarium walls.
The shows run at fixed slots, more of them at weekends; check the park's own page for today's times before you plan lunch around them. Each attraction is single entry, so finish one before you start the next.
