Who makes this,
and how it earns
Who publishes this site
thingstodomanila.com is part of Uncompromised Travel, an independent network of city guides. No tourism board, hotel, tour operator or restaurant pays to appear here, to change a verdict, or to move up a ranking — there is nothing to buy. Corrections and questions: [email protected].
How the verdicts are made
Every page answers one decision a traveler is actually making — is a sight worth it, which tour to book, where to sleep — with a direct verdict rather than a listicle. Behind each verdict: published prices in pesos and USD, LRT/MRT lines and typical Grab fares, hour-by-hour crowd and traffic patterns, and comparison tables. Prices are re-checked monthly (current pass: August 2026); when something changes between passes, the live operator page linked from the verdict is the source of truth. A "SKIP" stays a skip even when a bookable partner sells tickets for it.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links — specifically GetYourGuide (tours and activities) and Booking.com (hotels). If you book through one, the operator pays this site a small commission. Your price does not change, and the commission never changes a verdict: pages recommend skipping paid attractions wherever the data says so, and free things get the same treatment as bookable ones. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" so search engines see them for what they are.
